Reception, dedication & Juneteenth celebration Sunday, June 16th, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm
This event is free and open to the public.
Come enjoy viewing art and listening to members of the group Gospel in the Park sing.
There will be a free children’s art project for children ages 7 and up.
Light refreshments in a picnic atmosphere will be provided.
Kaneem Smith, daughter of artist George Smith, will speak at 3:00pm. The sculpture’s dedication will follow.
The wonderful artwork of George Smith will be on display at the Arts Council of Midland from June 16 – August 18, 2019. Located at 1506 W. Illinois. Ave.
