SUMMARY:Interweaving A Solo Exhibition by Hamed Edalati Tabrizi
DESCRIPTION:“Interweaving” \nA Solo Exhibition by Hamed Edalati Tabrizi\, graphic design faculty member at UTPB. \nThis exhibition examines the intricate interplay of identity\, language\, and cultural migration through the lens of graphic design. As a graphic designer\, Hamed pushes the boundaries of the medium\, transforming the foundational elements of design—line\, shape and type—into a dynamic exploration of cultural exchange and adaptation. Drawing inspiration from ancient motifs of the Islamic era in Iran and the geometric patterns of the ancient West\, the works interweave these historical designs with a modern\, minimalistic approach. The exhibition features interactive installations\, inviting viewers to navigate the complexities of cultural dislocation\, language acquisition\, and self-discovery. \nMirrors play a central role in his exhibition\, symbolizing self-reflection and the merging of multiple perspectives. The minimalist yet profound aesthetic draws attention to the nuanced balance between identity and transformation. By juxtaposing light\, movement\, and poetic forms\, the works encourage viewers to uncover hidden layers\, both within the art and within themselves\, fostering moments of personal and collective understanding. Through this immersive experience\, Interweaving celebrates the enduring connection to one’s roots while embracing the transformative possibilities of cultural exchange.

SUMMARY:Lita Ford
DESCRIPTION:Lita Ford’s career began in 1975 as a founding member and guitarist of the groundbreaking all- female group the Runaways. The group’s hard rock/punk edge spawned hits “Cherry Bomb” and “Queens of Noise.” \nIn 1983\, Ford launched her career as a solo artist with her début album Out For Blood\, establishing her as a premier female performer in rock and heavy metal. She followed up in 1984 with the release of Dancin’ on the Edge\, which earned her a Grammy nomination in the Best Female Rock Vocal Performance category. The album produced the world-charting single “Fire In My Heart” and the U.S. Billboard top 50 charting hit “Gotta Let Go.” The song\, along with the video being in MTV’s top rotation\, began to make Ford a household name and face. \n2018 Celebrated the 30th anniversary of the 1988 self-titled multi-platinum Lita album\, which boasted four charting hit singles\, “Back to the Cave”\, “Falling In and Out of Love” (co written with Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx) along with the world wide mega hits “Kiss me Deadly”\, nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards ‘Best Female Video of The Year’ and the certified Gold ballad single “Close my Eyes Forever” featuring Ozzy Osbourne\, which remained in the Billboard Top 10 for 25 weeks. The Lita album solidified Ford as one of the most influential female performers in the music industry and earning her the title “Queen of Metal”. Following Lita\, Ford released three more studio albums: Stiletto\, Dangerous Curves and Black. These albums produced the radio and video hits “Hungry”\,“Playin’ with Fire” and “Shot of Poison”\, again nominating her for a Grammy. \nLynch Mob was formed by George Lynch in 1989 after the breakup of Dokken\, his long time band of which he was a founding member and main songwriter. The band signed with Elektra Records\, and immediately released Wicked Sensation which would go on to achieve Gold status. The album received much critical and fan acclaim\, and would pave the way for over a dozen records over the next 30+ years. The band is known for it’s high energy\, guitar driven\, hard rock vibe\, while featuring elements of classic rock\, blues\, metal\, with a propensity for improvisation. \nLynch Mob is currently celebrating the legacy of an incredible history\, with shows consisting of classic career-spanning material\, as well as a heavy dose of Dokken songs. \n\n\nREAD LESS
