DESCRIPTION:  \n\ninosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice™ exhibit transports families back to the Cretaceous Period (70-65 million years ago)\, allowing children and adults to explore dinosaur habitats and gain a deeper understanding how these fascinating animals lived.\n\n\nChildren will go face-to-face with the prehistoric world and meet dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes. The exhibit\, aimed for children aged 3 to 10\, features interactive activities.\n\n\nDinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice™ was created by Minnesota Children’s Museum. This project is made possible by a grant from the David B. Jones Foundation.\n\n\nSponsored locally by The FMH Foundation\, The Helen Greathouse Charitable Trust\, Carnegie Circle\, and The Midland County Public Library Foundation.

The annual event transforms downtown into a high-energy street festival celebrating live music\, community\, and shared experiences—all under the West Texas sky. \nWith a career spanning more than 35 years\, Travis Tritt remains one of country music’s most enduring performers. A member of the influential “Class of ’89\,” Tritt rose to prominence during country music’s early ’90s boom with his debut album Country Club and hits including “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive\,” “Here’s a Quarter\,” and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” His Southern rock–influenced sound\, rooted in blues and gospel\, helped set him apart\, earning multiple platinum albums\, more than 30 million records sold\, two Grammy Awards\, three CMA Awards\, and membership in the Grand Ole Opry. SUMMARY:Junior Intensive by Midland Festival Ballet
DESCRIPTION:For dancers ages 10-12. Age cutoff date is May 15\, 2026. \nJune 1-11\nMondays – Thursdays 9am-12pm \n$500 (or $250/week)\nFull amount due on May 1.  \nMFB’s Junior Intensive is a two-week immersive dance experience designed to strengthen technique and artistry. Perfect for dancers new to intensives\, this program begins with daily ballet classes and expands into a variety of styles\, conditioning and stretching sessions\, variations\, and “focus” classes dedicated to mastering pirouettes\, jumps. With consistent training and expert guidance\, dancers will build strength\, improve flexibility\, and develop injury-prevention habits—all while discovering new possibilities in dance. Along the way\, they’ll enjoy a supportive environment that encourages confidence and friendships\, making the experience both fun and rewarding. This intensive not only accelerates growth but also lays the foundation for future intensives and performance opportunities\, opening doors to exciting possibilities in their dance journey. \nDress Code\nGirls: Leotard\, Tights\, Ballet Slippers. Hair must be worn in a ballet bun.\nBoys: White T-Shirt\, Black Shorts\, Ballet Slippers. \nATTN: COMPANY & JUNIOR COMPANY DANCERS \nYou MUST take at least 2 weeks of training over the summer.
