The Black Cultural Council of Odessa organizes the largest Juneteeth celebration in the state of Texas. Some people even come from across state lines to participate in and enjoy the festivities of our Juneteenth celebration. This 4-day celebration honors the day when slaves in Texas learned of their emancipation. We organize a variety of activities that the whole family can enjoy, including musical performances, a parade, multicultural exhibits, a morning set aside for youth educational programs and much more.
