Blackall’s artistry originated with drawing in the sand on the beaches of her childhood home in Australia. Her skills and passion grew until she earned a Bachelor of Design with honors in Sydney in 1992. In the following years\, she drew robotic figures for amusement parks\, lent her hands to a DIY television show\, and produced a household hints column. She has illustrated over 30 children’s books and created one book for adults. \nCurated by the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature\, Hello Sophie!: The Picture Book Art of Sophie Blackall\, showcases examples of the 30 illustrated artworks for her children’s books that she created. On display starting September 13 to November 26\, 2023. Free and open to the public.

Drawing from a range of diverse musical styles\, Schneider’s talent has defied genres. \nSchneider will be releasing a new record ‘In A Roomful Of Blood with A Sleeping Tiger’ in August 2021 with supporting tour dates throughout the US. \nCombining elements of funk\, country\, rock\, and folk with the more traditional singer/songwriter aesthetic\, Schneider draws inspiration from the ’70s with a modern twist\, reminiscent of contemporaries such as Beck.
