The John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Institute (JBSPLI) announces that it will host an unveiling of its latest presidential portrait – the 45th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump. The event will take place Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Presidential Archives and Leadership Library. The address is 4919 East University Boulevard Odessa, Texas 79762. The event is free and open to the public—there are no tickets.
Gathering begins at 5:30 PM and guests are invited to view all of the presidential portraits and exhibits at that time. Refreshments will be served. Award-winning Texas artist Bo Tan will be present – the artist that painted this portrait. Remarks will start at 6:15 PM by JBS Executive Director Dr. Robert Brescia, Texas District 81 Representative Brooks Landgraf, and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Unveiling directly follows remarks.
The JBS Leadership Institute and Presidential Archives prides itself on being one of the few in the country that features oil paintings and exhibits for every U.S. president. We teach youthful Texans to respect the office of the Presidency regardless of who the incumbent is, and we recognize each president’s efforts and service as they try to preserve and strengthen our national greatness. We are thankful to Odessa Arts for the generous grant that made this possible.
