Spirit Lines: Helen Hardin Etchings

This exhibition features Helen Hardin’s (b. 1943 – d. 1984) collection of copper plate etchings, featuring all twenty-three, number one editions completed from 1980 – 1984. This body of work has only recently been assimilated and shown in its entirety. Hardin chose to interpret images of ancient pottery and rock art into contemporary, abstracted, highly individualized compositions. With the use of repeated geometric forms and layering techniques, viewers obtain a sense of introspect into a woman artist whose work is divided between traditional and modern worlds.

Join us for a lecture and reception on February 16th at 5:30 PM.
