Andrew York is a grammy award-winning composer and classical guitar performer of international status. His arrangements combine ancient eras with modern musical ideas creating music that is essential, multileveled, and accessible to all audiences. Andrew crosses boundaries as he weaves his background as a jazz guitarist into his compositions. Andrew received a GRAMMY as a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet in his sixteen years with the cutting-edge ensemble. York’s compositions are featured on GRAMMY-winning recordings by classical guitarist Jason Vieaux (CD “Play,” featuring Andrew’s iconic composition “Sunburst,” 2015) and Sharon Isbin (CD “Journey to the new world” featuring “Andecy,” 2010)

Andrew performed recorded for the opera “Ainadamar” by Osvaldo Golijov with the Atlanta Symphony. The recording “Ainadamar” won two GRAMMY awards. His video “Home” has received over 2 million views, and the solo recording of “Yamour” claimed the number one spot in the Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s “Essential Recordings of 2012.”
