Odessa Arts has a packed week of cultural events for residents and visitors, including Art After Dark, Opening Reception for Heidi Petri’s A Permanent Record, and Altered Book Workshop.

ArtPocalypse is in full swing this weekend with several events for Odessans and visitors!  First, Heidi Petri’s intriguing library card works titled A Permanent Record is having it’s opening reception on Thursday, October 25 at 6PM, followed by a Community Book Club meeting for the NEA Big Read book Station Eleven, by Emily St. John Mandel. A Permanent Record will be on display through November 15, so be sure to stop by and see these amazing works.

On Saturday, October 27, at 1:30PM, the Ellen Noel Art Museum is having the Altered Book Workshop which will teach community members how to make their own unique book, using old books, collage techniques, and other ephemera in a fun “messy” style! Enjoy making art in a relaxed, creative, environment. $30 and space is limited. Call 432-550-9696, or email education@noelartmuseum.org to register.

Also on Saturday, October 27, from 7PM-11PM is Odessa Arts’ ArtPocalypse Halloween Bash! Art After Dark will have music, art, a signature drink, and a lot of fun! We encourage the community to wear costumes, and there will be a prize for the best costume! 19+ only, with valid ID. Tickets available online or at the door, $25 each, or $40 for two.
