Power of the Purse

About the Event:

The event will feature eight rounds of BINGO with multiple opportunities to win a designer bag, raffle for a high-end designer bag, shopping from locally owned businesses, dinner and desserts, and more. As we enjoy a night of fun and games, United Way will honor the 2023 Women’s United recipient. 100% of the net proceeds from Power of the Purse go directly to United Way of Midland’s Innovative Grants.

The Power of Your Purse:

Every Fall, United Way of Midland opens grant applications to local nonprofits for one-time funding for new or expanded programs and projects that help improve the health, education, and self-sufficiency of Midlanders. Since 2013, United Way of Midland volunteers have awarded over $500,000 to help strengthen our community through projects such as:

Winter Warm Kits for Thriving United
Expansion of the Speech Therapy Program at Bynum School
Funding after-school care through the YMCA of Midland

Thursday, October 26th, 2023 – Doors open at 6pm
Bush Convention Center (Exhibit Hall) – 105 N. Main St. | Midland, TX
