This in-person gathering will take place at the Ector County Library and Midland County Library, where instructor Caleb Mendes and aspiring artists will come together to explore the wonderful world of comic creation. Get ready to unleash your creativity as we dive into the art of crafting captivating comics. This course aims to inspire and guide participants through the process of developing their own unique comic strips. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event offers something for everyone. During this interactive course, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced comic creators, exchange ideas with fellow participants, and gain valuable insights into the comic industry. Adventures in Art Ages 6 - 12 Adventures in Art is an exhibition-driven class for children ages 6 - 12. We begin with a gallery walk of a related exhibition in the museum and finish with a studio art experience that changes with each class. This 1 hour class is held once a month from October - May. Ages 3 - 5 Art Tales is a free program that includes a live reading of a beautifully illustrated children’s book and followed by a hands-on art activity that is age appropriate. This 30 minute program is geared towards children age 3 - 5 and held twice a month October - May.
