About the Event: The event will feature eight rounds of BINGO with multiple opportunities to win a designer bag, raffle for a high-end designer bag, shopping from locally owned businesses, dinner and desserts, and more. As we enjoy a night of fun and games, United Way will honor the 2023 Women's United recipient. 100% of the net proceeds from Power of the Purse go directly to United Way of Midland's Innovative Grants. The Power of Your Purse: Every Fall, United Way of Midland opens grant applications to local nonprofits for one-time funding for new or expanded programs and projects that help improve the health, education, and self-sufficiency of Midlanders. Join us for a night of SCARY CELEBRATION! The FEAR Festival brings to life the energy and artistry of OC students, faculty, departments, and clubs … collaborating alongside our Odessa/Midland community to fill the Globe with exploration, creativity, and passion. The first hour puts the focus on the Visual Arts with paintings, photographs, and objects that adorn the Globe walls and theatre. Beginning in our second hour we take to the stage to share Spooky stories, Spanish legends, and Shakespearean ghosts while musicians sing, play and enhance the Halloween atmosphere. We hope you join us for this FREE EVENT. ONE. NIGHT. ONLY. Doors open at 6pm. It promises to be the opportunity of a death-time!

Divas & Desserts will be returning to Basin Theatre Works. Divas & Desserts will take place on Friday, October 27th, at 6:30pm at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. The weekend kicks-off on Friday, October 27 at 7:00 pm with our annual homecoming parade around campus. Then we’ll welcome Texas country music star Aaron Watson to the Kirk field for a FREE community concert starting at 7:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the show. There will be food trucks on site along with beer for sale. No outside food or drinks are allowed. After the concert, we’ll light a bonfire and have a fireworks show!
