For many people art is not the way of living or a lifestyle, it is the connection we make with others, community is the most important thing in the life of an artist. My work is centered in the human figure with an emphasis of pop culture. Implementing human objects achieves the illusion of having life around everything that us humans do.
I see Holy scriptural text as eternal, like I wish my art to be. I want people to know there is a connection between the titles and experiences in life regarding my relationship with God.
Currently working in the community with kids with disabilities, volunteering at church, using my artwork to extend love to our community.
I am an artist who likes to interpret the human figure, nature and magic, the fantastic, I also like sculptures and lately I have done more murals.

Hi my name is Gina Bernal! I am a 37 year old artist born and raised here in Odessa. I have my associates in Art from Odessa College. I love anything artsy but I especially love painting and drawing. I have 4 beautiful kiddos and an amazing supportive husband. I now have a group on Facebook dedicated to all creatives of West Texas. I wanted to make a group where artists can support other artists and come together to participate in art shows, meet ups, and workshops and fun events so the community can meet the artists in the area as well! Basically a safe space where younger artists can ask questions and have the support they need. Growing up here I wish I had that!
I was born and raised in Lubbock, TX. Once moving to Odessa it created opportunities to the art world. Participating in a visual art competition in high school encouraged me to see where art would take me full time.
I attended Sul Ross, was involved in many art courses, and discovered my passion for oil painting. With the slow process of oil paints drying, I can create skies of vast colors & movements throughout a canvas when still wet.
Traveling from Odessa to Alpine and the visual beauty of Alpine itself, gave me many opportunities to capture the landscapes around me and manipulate them in my art. Inspired by the Luminist movement, I began creating landscape paintings that emphasize tranquility in my work.
Taking part of an undergrad exihibition, being accepted into juried art shows, including national juried art shows that took place in California, and working commissions has pushed me in my career as an oil painter.
Being told that my art has helped create stories and beauty in homes is the sole purpose of why I continue painting.

Classicosmopolitan is a looking glass into many small facets of a lifestyle to inspire others to create their own unique life art while being a human embracing the duality of human experience. Classicosmopolitan is a safe space to the LGTBQ community as well as the on the Spectrum community. It is Classicosmopolitan’s goal that the creation and documentation of life art will help dismantle the current societal structure which is collapsing imminently as it is the cycle that never changes under the sun. Each societal structure recycles into a newer stronger longer societal structure. The current one serves capitalism not life art. Technology is becoming more intelligent and many jobs will become obsolete with the continuation of time. Classicosmopolitan has been aware of this and it is her duty as a Shaman to Shepard the people before this happens so that the transition with be easiest for everyone. It’s Classicosmopolitan’s goal to assist in one’s aware of their surroundings on a deeper and spiritual level through example of life art. To fully understand the spider’s web of Classicosmopolitan and all the facets of the concept of their many platforms perhaps take a meeting with its founder Rachel Caroline Johnson. Cheers.

My name is Malory. I am a 25 year old stay at home mom born here in W TX. I went to NewTechHighSchool for some time where I had an amazing art teacher, Mrs. Lopez! I grew up naturally inclined in all forms of arts; music, drawing, painting, stringed instruments, and singing. Over the years, I discovered my most expressive art is in my paintings and its the thing that stuck the most for me. Aside from the techniques Mrs. Lopez taught, I am for the most part self taught, thanks to YouTube and Bob Ross. As a small child, we didn’t have cable so we relied strongly on local Television which is how was introduced to Bob Ross on PBS. I used to spend my pre-K mornings watching him paint while I got ready for school. I am most inspired by nature much like Bob. His work definitely plays some sort of role in a ton of my pieces. My favorite mediums are acrylic paint and alcohol markers.

My first introduction into the art world would have been when I picked up my first comic book, a Batman/Spawn crossover. The art was fantastic and I immediately fell in love with comics, stories, and using art as a medium to tell those stories.
My style focuses heavily on pen and ink line work, and mostly black and white with few colors since I am deutan colorblind. My works span from logo work, character design, murals, poster work, traditional and digital commissions, and sequential art and cover art for local comic books.
Stories are how we connect with people and I strive to tell a story in every piece I create.

This flat and barren land has become a great inspiration for me in my artwork. I find the resilient life here to be my motivating force in creating my art.
