Power of the Purse

About the Event: The event will feature eight rounds of BINGO with multiple opportunities to win a designer bag, raffle for a high-end designer bag, shopping from locally owned businesses, dinner and desserts, and more. As we enjoy a night of fun and games, United Way will honor the 2023 Women's United recipient. 100% of the net proceeds from Power of the Purse go directly to United Way of Midland's Innovative Grants. The Power of Your Purse: Every Fall, United Way of Midland opens grant applications to local nonprofits for one-time funding for new or expanded programs and projects that help improve the health, education, and self-sufficiency of Midlanders. COA is the cornerstone fine art, fine craft event in the Permian Basin, and is the longest running downtown event in Midland, Texas. COA has a strong reputation locally, with community support year after year, and draws out of town visitors. The festival hosts local entertainers and performers, non-profit organizations, family-friendly activities, and special events throughout the weekend. On Friday evening, we hold a ticketed Premier Party showcasing our juried visual artists to sponsors and ticketed guests. On the following Saturday & Sunday, the festival opens to the general public.
