    The SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo is excited to announce Texas country music star Aaron Watson as the headline performer for2026. Watson will take the stage on Friday, January 16, bringing his signature blend of classic country storytelling and electrifying stage presence. The SandHills rodeo features professional rodeo action, livestock shows, and numerous roping events during its run from January 8 to 17, 2026. An Amarillo native with over 25 years in the music industry, Watson will perform his well-known hits along with songs from his upcoming album, A Horse Named Texas, set for release in March 2026. His newest single, “Pontiac (So Tell Me Momma),” has garnered early praise from fans for its emotional lyrics and authentic sound. The singer/songwriter has a strong social media presence that keeps his dedicated fans engaged with ongoing updates on his life, family, and career. Texas rising star Caleb Young will open the concert at 9:30 PM. The after-rodeo dance will be held in Building “G” and will offer VIP tables for purchase.
