Join Odessa Arts & Downtown Odessa, Inc for our monthly First Friday ODTX! Stroll through Downtown Odessa from 6-9 PM and take in special events and offerings from merchants and retailers.

Basement: Retro Game Hall will be open for extended hours and hosting a Halloween costume contest! Downtown Odessa, INC Ector Co. Library: will be hosting a children’s storytime and corresponding craft from 6 – 7 PM Isy’s Fine Jewelry: will host a DIY silver stamped bead – dubbed “Macaroni Necklace on Steroids.” Kids will have the opportunity to make Christmas gifts for their parents with the help of some of Odessa’s finest jewelers! Joann’s on 5th Flowers: DIY flower crowns for Dia de Los Muertos *A small participation fee will be applied to cover the cost of supplies Odessa Marriott: Fall Into Fun – Fall Cocktails and Yard Games in Courtyard McJack General Store OC Greenspace Odessa Arts Rooster’s: Black Sheep Workshop and they are painting Grinch Door Hanger – SOLD OUT Sacrificial Needle Tattoo: Artwork for sale, Jumper, face painting, Sassy B Creations will be selling tumblers, Sweet Tea Boutique will be selling t-shirts. They will also be having $40 fine line tattoos and the day before they will be having free-hand tattoos for $80.00. First Friday ODTX is a monthly gathering every first Friday of the month for residents and visitors of downtown Odessa. Each month, the streets are lively and colorful with music, games, and delicious food.
The Odessa Shakespeare Festival, an annual celebration of the enduring legacy of the Bard, has captivated audiences with exceptional performances and insightful interpretations of Shakespeare’s timeless works.
Each event features four readers who read their own writing for seven minutes or less and are then critiqued by three judges (often actors, comedians, authors, musicians or dancers) in the categories of literary merit, performance and intangibles.
Embark on a literary journey with fellow book enthusiasts as we explore captivating stories in the One Book, One Basin community book club meet-up. This season, dive into the spellbinding world of “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay” by Michael Chabon for adults or “The Cloak Society” by Jeramey Kraatz for youth and families.
