Gastronomy Studio Art Quilt Associates Opens December 7, 2023, 12:00 PM - March 10, 2024 5:00 PM The Ellen Noël Art Museum hosts its current exhibition on loan from the Studio Art Quilt Associates, entitled “Gastronomy.” This collection is on view with free admission from December 7, 2023 - March 10, 2024. Please join us for MUSEUM UNCORKED: A NIGHT OF ART & WINE in conjunction with this exhibit on March 8, 2024. Gastronomy is the study of the relationship between food and culture, featuring not only the bountiful gifts from nature, but a gift from the human hand. The art of preparing unique, delicate food is a tradition passed from generation to generation around the world. It combines innovative ingredients, colors, textures, and flavors to create dishes that are pleasing to both the palate and the eye. This exhibition is the blend of the art of cooking and the artistry of quilting. Gastronomy showcases over 30 quilts created by members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event offers something for everyone. During this interactive course, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced comic creators, exchange ideas with fellow participants, and gain valuable insights into the comic industry.
