Odessa College to Host Barry Phillips the Younger's 40-Year Retrospective Exhibition Odessa, Texas - Odessa College will present 100 HAPPY FACES: Artwork by Barry Phillips the Younger, a retrospective exhibition featuring selected drawings, prints, and assemblages created over the course of the artist's 40-year career. The exhibition will be on display from Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Phillips Goff Gallery located in Sedate Hall on the Odessa College campus. Phillips the Younger, a member of the Odessa College art faculty since 1987, is widely recognized for his contributions to the arts both locally and nationally. His work has been exhibited in more than 100 shows across the country. He has received numerous honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship in Drawing and Printmaking, the Kimbrough Award from the Dallas Museum of Art, and the 2012 Community Statesman for the Arts award from the Heritage of Odessa Foundation. Cassatt Quartet Residency

We bring the Cassatt String Quartet to West Texas bi-annually to inspire and work intensively with our students (elementary to college students), expand students' horizons, and give cultural awareness and higher education guidance. We enrich and develop people through music. Students learn life lessons via chamber music and orchestral playing such as teamwork, verbal and non-verbal communication, and respect for one another. Art Tales: When I Am Big

Join us at the Ellen Noël Art Museum for a delightful event tailored for art-loving preschoolers aged 3-5 and their grown-ups. At 1:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourselves in a beautifully illustrated story and a fun art activity. This free event offers an engaging children's story followed by a hands-on art project related to the tale. Our featured book for this session is When I Am Big by Maria Dek. Young attendees will be entertained by a whimsical and imaginative counting book that encourages young children to dream big and explore the possibilities of growing up. After the story, children will participate in an art activity inspired by the adventures. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and creativity in young children while spending quality time together. We look forward to welcoming you and your little artists to the museum for this fun and inspiring event!

Presented by Walmart, a brand-new stage show inspired by the magical world of the global preschool sensation from DreamWorks Animation. In this a-MEOW-zing musical show, Gabby unboxes a special acorn that needs the magical touch of a rainbow to grow. But when CatRat causes a color cat-astrophe and breaks the rainbow, Gabby and the Gabby Cats must find the colors again to set things right. Gabby, Pandy Paws and friends travel to the Cat-O-Sphere, Mermaid-Lantis and some favorite Dollhouse locations in search of the colors that will make rebuilding the rainbow, possible. Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! Presented by Walmart brings to life an exciting original story featuring incredible puppets, dynamic staging, a talented live show cast of singer-actor-puppeteers and songs from the beloved series, including “Hey Gabby”, “You Can’t Spell Meow Without Me” and “Sprinkle Party”.
