Art Tales Extra Yarn

  Join us at the Ellen Noël Art Museum for a delightful event designed for art-loving preschoolers aged 3-5 and their grown-ups. At 1:00 PM, we invite you to enjoy a beautifully illustrated story and an engaging art activity. This free event offers an entertaining children's story followed by a hands-on art project that relates to the tale. Our featured book for this session is Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett. Children will be enchanted by the heartwarming story of Annabelle and her magical box of yarn, and afterward, they will get to create their own colorful art inspired by the book. It’s a wonderful opportunity to nurture a love of reading and creativity in young children while spending quality time together. We look forward to welcoming you and your little artists to the museum for this fun and inspiring event!

Art Talk is all about exploring different perspectives and sparking lively conversation. Whether you’re an art aficionado or just curious, share your thoughts and insights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We go through a three question process that allows visitors to share their perceptions while viewing a piece of art from our Permanent Collection.
