From the director of the modern fairy tale Wouldn't It Be Lovely, and based on the iconic poem by Lord Alfred Tennyson, The Globe Theatre at Odessa College embarks on an unforgettable journey into the heart of Arthurian legend with our 2024 Fall flagship production of The Lady of Shalott! Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott has enthralled readers for over a century. The mysterious tale of a woman cursed and trapped in a tower has captivated artists the world over, inspiring countless paintings and songs, all in service of answering the ultimate question: Who was The Lady of Shalott? In the most innovative theatrical experience we have ever offered, The Globe Theatre at Odessa College takes audiences on an extraordinary adventure into the untold story of Camelot, bringing to life iconic characters like Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin and more with fierce humanity and unparalleled passion. Driving Miss Daisy

          Placed in the Deep South in 1948, Driving Miss Daisy follows a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two and her newly appointment chauffeur, Hoke, who is thoughtful black man. Miss Daisy immediately regards Hoke with disdain and who, in turn, is not impressed with his employer’s patronizing tone and, he believes, her latent prejudice. Will they be able to overcome their differences?

With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
