Join us for our annual Día de los Muertos celebration at the Ellen Noël Art Museum! This free, family-friendly event is a vibrant way to honor and learn about the customs and traditions of this meaningful holiday. From 1:00–3:00 PM, enjoy hands-on art activities inspired by Día de los Muertos. Then, from 3:00–4:30 PM, experience live music and dance performances that bring the celebration to life. We’re excited to welcome our community partners: – ECISD Early Childhood Department – Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin – Spanish students from Compass Academy, who will present a special pop-up ofrenda exhibition And more! Come celebrate culture, creativity, and community with us—everyone is welcome!

Whether you're a knitter, quilter, stitcher, or just curious about the craft, this is the perfect opportunity to dive into the world of fiber arts. All skill levels are welcome—from novices eager to learn to experts willing to share their wisdom. Our event offers a unique blend of creativity and camaraderie. Engage in stimulating conversations and build friendships with fellow crafters as you explore visual thinking strategies to discuss and appreciate artwork. Share your projects, exchange tips, and inspire each other in a warm and supportive environment. And don’t stress about those little mistakes—we all make them! Adventures in Art for Sensory Artists is a studio-style art program designed for young artists who benefit from a calm, sensory-friendly environment. Each session offers a supportive space where participants can explore materials, learn new techniques, and create art at their own pace. With small class sizes and hands-on projects, this program encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a relaxed setting. Advanced registration is required, link coming soon. Register for studio classes that take place on select Sundays from 2:30-4:30 for students ages 6-12. Students can tour current exhibitions and do a related studio art project. $20 per class by advance, online registration only (by noon the previous Thursday).  Class size is limited, so sign up soon! Gather with friends and fellow art lovers as we interpret, comprehend, and appreciate the art in ways that advance thinking, decision-making, communication and learning. Art Talk is all about exploring different perspectives and sparking lively conversation. Whether you’re an art aficionado or just curious, share your thoughts and insights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We go through a three question process that allows visitors to share their perceptions while viewing a piece of art from our Permanent Collection.
