The Stateline Band merges honky-tonk with a rock'n'roll edge to create their self-proclaimed genre, Texas Dancehall Country. With a passion for keeping old school country alive, the band employs traditional country instrumentation including fiddle and steel guitar, creating an undeniable urge to hit the hardwood and two-step all night.

Adventures in Art Ages 6 - 12 Adventures in Art is an exhibition-driven class for children ages 6 - 12. We begin with a gallery walk of a related exhibition in the museum and finish with a studio art experience that changes with each class. This 1 hour class is held once a month from October - May. Artistic expression is inherently shaped by cultural influences and personal experiences within a given society. Â Haiti is no exception to this rule. Â In response to this cultural dynamic, the nonprofit organization, New Vision Art School, located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti was established to address a community need. Â It serves as a safe haven for children, offering them the opportunity to enjoy workshops, channel their creativity, embark on educational journeys to museums and other art-related institutions, and fosters a supportive community where parents can connect and receive assistance. This pop-up exhibition showcases the artistic creations by children who have benefitted from the nonprofit organization, New Vision Art School, located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The artwork by these children reflects their cultural beliefs, traditions, and customs. Please join us for a reception one week after opening, on February 8th, 2024, at 6PM! on loan from the Hatcher-Levinger Family collection.
