Ages 3 - 5 Art Tales is a free program that includes a live reading of a beautifully illustrated children’s book and followed by a hands-on art activity that is age appropriate. This 30 minute program is geared towards children age 3 - 5 and held twice a month October - May. Gastronomy Studio Art Quilt Associates Opens December 7, 2023, 12:00 PM - March 10, 2024 5:00 PM The Ellen Noël Art Museum hosts its current exhibition on loan from the Studio Art Quilt Associates, entitled “Gastronomy.” This collection is on view with free admission from December 7, 2023 - March 10, 2024. Please join us for MUSEUM UNCORKED: A NIGHT OF ART & WINE in conjunction with this exhibit on March 8, 2024. Gastronomy is the study of the relationship between food and culture, featuring not only the bountiful gifts from nature, but a gift from the human hand. The art of preparing unique, delicate food is a tradition passed from generation to generation around the world. It combines innovative ingredients, colors, textures, and flavors to create dishes that are pleasing to both the palate and the eye. This exhibition is the blend of the art of cooking and the artistry of quilting. Gastronomy showcases over 30 quilts created by members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. Spend the evening enjoying a discussion of selected work from the Ellen Noël Art Museum’s collection. Get the chance to view, analyze, and discuss artwork using visual thinking strategies. Small groups can be accommodated. · Free

come and paint with me in a fun relaxed environment alongside delicious wines and foods! ages 12 and up are welcome. please arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early so that you can get your seats and refreshments ordered. no outside food or drinks please. refunds are available if canceled 7 days prior to the event. if you do not cancel 7 days before the event you will can have a credit issued to participate in any future event of your choosing. Adventures in Art Ages 6 - 12 Adventures in Art is an exhibition-driven class for children ages 6 - 12. We begin with a gallery walk of a related exhibition in the museum and finish with a studio art experience that changes with each class. This 1 hour class is held once a month from October - May. Registration is required in advance only of $20, due by the previous Thursday at 5:00 pm. Scholarships are available. For more information contact Annie Stanley here.
