Country music star Josh Turner will make his Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center (PAC) debut this fall. Turner is bringing his Long Black Train 20th Anniversary Tour, Presented by AEG, to the Permian Basin on Saturday, October 21, 2023. With his deep bass voice, Turner has sold more than six and a half million records, reached 4.8 billion global streams, and has become a favorite and unforgettable hitmaker on country radio. The Sounds of Silence Tribute journeys back in time to the 1970s Greenwich Folk Village Scene, to a timeless era of music when lyrics and melody meant something more. Award-winning musicians Steven Delopoulos and Johnny Phillips are known for their unique sound, energetic live shows, and introspective lyrics underscored by their remarkable musicianship. Their concert features the music of Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Don McLean, and more.

The weekend kicks-off on Friday, October 27 at 7:00 pm with our annual homecoming parade around campus. Then we’ll welcome Texas country music star Aaron Watson to the Kirk field for a FREE community concert starting at 7:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the show. There will be food trucks on site along with beer for sale. No outside food or drinks are allowed. After the concert, we’ll light a bonfire and have a fireworks show! 

The Temptations, often referred to as American Music Royalty, are world-renowned superstars of entertainment, revered for their phenomenal catalog of music and prolific career. The group celebrated their 60th Anniversary through 2022. To mark this milestone, The Temptations released a brand-new album, Temptations 60, with nearly all-original songs in January of 2022. Dr. Otis Williams, the sole surviving, original member of The Temptations, turned 80 on October 30th of 2021.
