    DESCRIPTION Theatre Network of Texas, Inc (TNT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the theatres and artists of Texas and the communities they serve. TNT, with the support of the the Jack K. Ayre and Frank Ayre Lee Theatre Foundation, sponsors college internships to address the needs of theatres and students in the discipline of live theatre. GOAL The goal of the program is to expose students to the theatre profession by: providing firsthand experience working with and in theatres; giving an overview of current issues in the profession; facilitating job opportunities through contacts made in the Texas theatre community. ELIGIBILITY Must have graduated  / completed high school course work and received high school diploma. Completed Sophomore year of college after high school graduation. (Advanced placement and completion of college courses while still enrolled in high school does NOT qualify as completion.) Majoring in any aspect of theatre i.e. education, administration, etc. Graduate Students are eligible Students of every race, religion, gender, ethnic and economic background and sexual preference are eligible to apply.     The Globe Film Festival is set to return to the Historic Globe Theatre on January 30–31, 2026, inviting all to celebrate independent film and creativity with a variety of activities including screenings, panels, workshops, awards, and a food court. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit original short films, ranging from 1 to 10 minutes in length and suitable for a community audience, in any genre or style—whether shot on a phone or professional equipment. The deadline for submissions is January 16, with selected works having the opportunity to be showcased as Top 10 finalists at the festival. Join us for a vibrant celebration of storytelling in West Texas!

    Cristela Alonzo made history when she became the first Latina to create, produce and star in her own network sitcom, ‘Cristela’ for ABC. Cristela made history again when she became the first Latina lead in a Disney Pixar film when she voiced the character of Cruz Ramirez in ‘Cars 3’. Cristela has subsequently appeared in numerous films and TV shows, such as HBO’s ‘His Dark Materials’ and Stephen Soderbergh’s ‘The Laundromat.’ She has appeared on late night shows such as Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman and Stephen Colbert, and numerous talks shows and game shows as well as being a host on ABC’s ‘The View’. Her first stand-up special, Lower Classy, is currently streaming on Netflix, along with her more recently released second stand-up special, ‘Middle Classy’. Cristela has also released a memoir, ‘Music to My Years,’ with Simon & Schuster Publishing. In it, Alonzo shares personal stories of growing up as a first-generation Mexican-American in Texas and following her dreams to pursue a career in showbusiness. In 2025, Cristela shot and released her 3rd Netflix stand up special, "Upper Classy”.
