The Globe Theatre at Odessa College opens our stage to the energy and artistry of OC students, faculty, departments, and clubs … collaborating alongside our Odessa/Midland community to fill the Globe with exploration, creativity, and passion. CABARET NIGHT at The Globe Theatre is a time to share tastes of anything you’re passionate about: singing, dancing, poetry, storytelling, photography, film, stand-up comedy, drama, culinary and horticulture … it’s all welcome! If you’re interested in sharing something, please email aganz@odessa.edu with what you’d like to share, the estimated time you’d like, and any technical needs you’d like us to provide.     Let’s Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo it! Join Baby Shark and his fincredible fishy friends on an undersea adventure filled with oceans of fun and finship! To save their beloved Party Puddle Theatre, Baby and the squiddos must dive into action to create a flowstopping, splash-hit Broadwave swimsation — and they need your family’s help to put on the biggest Broadwave show ever! Jam-packed with catchy music, heartwarming characters and tidal waves of laughter, this interactive live show will make fishies of all ages shake their tail fins with delight.

    We understand that large groups in a storytime can be overwhelming for some of our patrons. So we have partnered with Share, who work with Special Needs families in the Permian Basin for a Sensory Friendly Storytime with a couple of books, a few songs, and craft or sensory toys to play with after storytime. We will also have a calming room set aside for those that get overstimulated. Location: 3rd Floor Auditorium

  • Odessa YMCA Presents Giggle & Give with Lucas Bohn

    The Odessa Family YMCA proudly presents our “Giggle & Give” comedy fundraiser sponsored by Sondra and Toby Eoff. The fundraiser will start at 7 p.m. (with doors opening at 6 p.m.) April 4 at The Ector Theatre, and it will feature comedian Lucas Bohn. The fundraiser will benefit our annual campaign for the Odessa Family YMCA. Those funds will benefit our PreK-3 program, which we have in partnership with the Ector County Independent School District, youth sports scholarships, and free community events held throughout the year, including Healthy Kids Day. In addition to the comedy show, the Odessa Family YMCA will hold a silent auction with all proceeds going to our annual campaign. Current silent auction items include artwork from the Odessa Family YMCA Learning Centers, Dallas Cowboys suite tickets, Six Flag/Hurricane Harbor tickets and many more. We are accepting items for our silent auction. Lucas Bohn has been seen on NBC’s “Bring the Funny” and CBS’ Coastal Comedy Live, performing with comedy legends like Kevin Hart, Jimmy Fallon and Dave Chappelle.   • Midland Festival Ballet Presents Midsummer Night’s Dream

Join Midland Festival Ballet for a night filled with humor, romance, magic and mayhem as they perform A Midsummer Night's Dream, with live orchestral accompaniment provided by the West Texas Symphony!
