Driving Miss Daisy

          Placed in the Deep South in 1948, Driving Miss Daisy follows a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two and her newly appointment chauffeur, Hoke, who is thoughtful black man. Miss Daisy immediately regards Hoke with disdain and who, in turn, is not impressed with his employer’s patronizing tone and, he believes, her latent prejudice. Will they be able to overcome their differences?

Join us at the Ellen Noël Art Museum for a delightful event tailored for art-loving preschoolers aged 3-5 and their grown-ups. At 1:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourselves in a beautifully illustrated story and a fun art activity. This free event offers an engaging children's story followed by a hands-on art project related to the tale. Our featured book for this session is My Name Is Elizabeth! by Anika Dunklee. Young attendees will be entertained by the charming story of Elizabeth, a little girl with a big personality, who loves her name just the way it is. After the story, children will participate in an art activity inspired by Elizabeth’s adventures. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and creativity in young children while spending quality time together.
