May 27 63rd Annual Permian Juried Art Exhibition in partnership with the Odessa Art Association The Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition will be on view from May 27 – Aug 8. The aim of this exhibition is to highlight the talent of artists in and around the West Texas region. This year, artists are encouraged to explore the the theme FOLKLORE & FAIRY TALES
Considered to be the “perfect” musical comedy, Guys and Dolls opened on the Broadway stage in 1950 and has had several revivals and a movie adaptation starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. Set in a mythical New York City, Nathan, a gambler tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while his night club performer girlfriend, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years with no end in sight. A fellow smooth-talking gambler, Sky, ends up chasing a strait-laced missionary, Sarah, on a bet. From Times Square, to Havana Cuba, to the sewers of New York, this brassy and timeless show like Sit Down You're Rockin The Boat, Fugue for Tinhorns, and Luck Be A Lady Tonight will have you tapping your toes and humming along!

Friday, 6 August 2021, 6:00pm. The Ector Theatre , Odessa George Ducas, a Grammy-nominated country artist/songwriter who links the real country of the 90s to present day hits, is coming to town. Four albums (and countless songs written for other artists) has turned Ducas’ into one of country music’s most esteemed careers, and he continues to evolve as an artist. His self-titled debut album on Capitol Records yielded four Billboard charting songs, including “Teardrops” and the Top 10 smash “Lipstick Promises.” His second album yielded two more Billboard charting songs.
