At 1:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourselves in a beautifully illustrated story and a fun art activity. This free event offers an engaging children's story followed by a hands-on art project related to the tale. Our featured book for this session is Seeds by Carme Lemniscates. Young attendees will be entertained by a whimsical and imaginative book about all the possibilities seeds have while on their journey. After the story, children will participate in an art activity inspired by the adventures. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and creativity in young children while spending quality time together.     The agenda will include: An overview of current film incentives in Texas Guidance on how to become “Film Friendly” A session with a Texas film producer about what he looks for when choosing a community for filming Attendees will be city representatives from our region who either want to become Film Friendly or need continuing education hours to maintain their certification. Discover Odessa already holds the Film Friendly Certification, but we are eager to build on it. Film tourism is an area we have only just begun to explore. With Odessa being the home of Friday Night Lights and Taylor Sheridan’s Landman generating so much attention, this is a timely opportunity we cannot afford to miss. This event does not require your presence, but we wanted you to be aware and to know that you are very welcome to attend if it sparks your interest.     Heather McMahan is a dynamic actress, comedian and podcaster known for her sharp wit and infectious humor. Her two hit stand-up specials, "Son I Never Had" (Netflix) and "Breadwinner" (Hulu) both ascended to the top 10 position for seven days. McMahan recently organized, hosted and headlined the Absolutely Knot comedy cruise themed around her life and personality, including her comedy shows, her podcast Absolutely Knot, and her "Heather Coded" world of luxury and fun. Several thousand of her fevered fans hit the high seas for the four day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas that featured comedians and entertainers curated by McMahan. Heather's relatable storytelling and charismatic stage presence has captivated audiences and sold-out venues including Radio City Music Hall and Atlanta’s Historic Fox Theatre. Heather is currently on her Bamboozled Tour, her third national tour.
