Wonder Girls Camp!

For the seventh year, Crisis Center of West Texas presents Wonder Girls, our empowerment camp for girls entering 5th-8th grades! At camp we include lessons from CCWTX staff, project based learning activities in STEM, physical activities, and more! This year, we are taking a field trip to Chevron's Midland campus for a day of fun! Location: Crossroads Student Building; 6901 TX-191 Frontage, Odessa, TX 79762 Dates: Monday, July 10th through Friday, July 14th, 2023 Drop off starts each morning at 8:00 AM and pick up starts each afternoon at 4:45 PM. Limited scholarships are available for Wonder Girls who qualify. Register your Wonder Girl today!

Monday, July 10, 2023 10:00 AM 12:00 PM Must have pre-registered for this camp. Ages 6-12 will spend this week traveling the world of art and learning about different artist each day as they make art in their style. This session will be July 10-13 from 10am-12pm each day.

The Latin Queens and Comedy Kings Comedy Show is one of the most entertaining and hilarious shows around. Featuring a lineup of talented comedians who specialize in bringing a unique, Latin twist to their material, this show is sure to have you laughing from beginning to end. With quick-witted humor and a diverse range of comedic styles, the Latin Queens and Comedy Kings show truly has something for everyone. Food truck, El Taco N Madre, will be parked in the Wagner Noël PAC parking lot from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Please note food trucks are independently operated, Wagner Noël PAC is not responsible for their pricing or service.

Jackson Browne

Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007. Except for a brief period in NYC in the late 1960s, Jackson has always lived in Southern California. His debut album came out on David Geffen’s Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums, four collections of live performances, two “best of” compilations, two DVDs and several single recordings. Jackson’s newest studio album, “Downhill From Everywhere” was released in July 2021 and GRAMMY nominated for Best Americana Album. Browne is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He’s a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) and Nukefree.org and a member of the Ocean advocacy group, Ocean Elders. In 2002, he was the fourth recipient of the John Steinbeck Award, given to artists whose works exemplify the environmental and social values that were essential to the great California-born author.
