As one of today’s premiere stand-up comedians, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing in a Las Vegas coffee house. Jo’s uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family has reached all kinds of people and has translated into sold-out arenas around the world. His highly anticipated 4th Netflix stand-up special, Live From The Los Angeles Forum premiered globally on September 13, 2022. The special is a follow-up to his 2019 Netflix special, Comin’ In Hot. Koy has already had four highly rated and successful stand-up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert
Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center 1310 FM 1788, Midland, TexasAn all-new national tour is coming Wagner Noël PAC on September 20th which will bring fans a whole new way to experience their favorite box office hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The Academy Award-winning film from Sony Pictures Animation will be accompanied by a live orchestra, band and turntables with a scratch DJ playing music from the score and soundtrack. Joining the tour is The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra. Emily Marshall will serve as the tour’s conductor. Tall City Blues Fest 2023
The Destination 1705 W. Industrial Ave., Midland, TXHeadlining this year's Fest is Chicago-based, Guy King along with five other performers that will be featured, including an encore performance by Eddie Austin & The Review. In perfect fashion with the blues, this year’s Tall City Blues Fest will be held at the The Destination's Old Lumberyard located at 1705 W. Industrial in Midland. The Old Lumberyard is formerly a lumberyard long ago abandoned, but since repurposed and revamped with a juke joint vibe to be one of Midland’s coolest, most eclectic outdoor venues, accented with gems of days gone past. Gates will open at 4 PM and first performance starts at 5 PM. This year's Fest will also host a food truck court, a vendor marketplace and artist booths.
