You Can’t Stop the Beat! HAIRSPRAY, Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy phenomenon is back on tour! Join 16-year-old Tracy Turnblad in 1960’s Baltimore as she sets out to dance her way onto TV’s most popular show. Can a girl with big dreams (and even bigger hair) change the world? Featuring the beloved score of hit songs including “Welcome to the 60’s,” “Good Morning Baltimore” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” HAIRSPRAY is “fresh, winning, and deliriously tuneful!” (The New York Times).

Destination Moon: A Celebration of JFK and the Apollo 11 Moon Landing – Exhibition opens

March 16 through April 13. Closing Event:  April 13 PBS Video:  8 Days; To the Moon and Back - 5:30 p.m. Free On July 20, 1969, a decade of unprecedented change and technological innovation brought humanity farther than ever before.  Neil Armstrong's first steps on the Moon could only have been possible with the unprecedented leadership of John F. Kennedy and the following residents who saw his vision through. This exhibit showcases the Smithsonian Institution's traveling exhibition Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission along with historic items and artworks from the Presidential Archives' collection as well as items on loan from other institutions.
