Join us for an evening of conversation, film, and action with Bob Krumenaker, former Superintendent of Big Bend National Park (2018-2023) and Chair of Keep Big Bend Wild. Hear Bob's insights into the challenges facing the Big Bend region and what citizens can do to influence its future, followed by a Q&A with Bob. Watch The River and the Wall. Start off your Halloween weekend Out West! Out West presents T.I. and Waka Flocka Flame live at the Midland County Horseshoe on Friday, October 30. Grammy Award-winning artist T.I. is known for hits like “Whatever You Like,” “Live Your Life,” and “Bring Em Out.” Waka Flocka Flame brings the energy behind “No Hands,” “Hard in da Paint,” and “Grove St. Party.” Together, they’re bringing a night of hip-hop to Midland-Odessa. Come dressed to win the Halloween costume contest, with prizes of $1,000 for first place, $750 for second, and $500 for third. Join us four our final Sci-Friday of the season featuring The Time Machine, the Sci-fi thriller starring Guy Earce, Yancey Arais, and Mark Addy! Scientist and inventor Alexander Hartdegen (Guy Pearce) is determined to prove that time travel is possible. His determination is turned to desperation by a personal tragedy that now drives him to want to change the past. Testing his theories with a time machine of his own invention, Hartdegen is hurtled 800,000 years into the future, where he discovers that mankind has divided into the hunter ... and the hunted.
