1 event,Odessa College to Host Barry Phillips the Younger's 40-Year Retrospective Exhibition Odessa, Texas - Odessa College will present 100 HAPPY FACES: Artwork by Barry Phillips the Younger, a retrospective exhibition featuring selected drawings, prints, and assemblages created over the course of the artist's 40-year career. The exhibition will be on display from Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Phillips Goff Gallery located in Sedate Hall on the Odessa College campus. Phillips the Younger, a member of the Odessa College art faculty since 1987, is widely recognized for his contributions to the arts both locally and nationally. His work has been exhibited in more than 100 shows across the country. He has received numerous honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship in Drawing and Printmaking, the Kimbrough Award from the Dallas Museum of Art, and the 2012 Community Statesman for the Arts award from the Heritage of Odessa Foundation. In describing his upcoming retrospective, Phillips shared: "I am honored to present my 40-year retrospective at Odessa College. It will be fun and informative and strange, so don't miss it!"
