This Spring, The Globe Theatre at Odessa College ignites our new outdoor amphitheater + returns to The Globe stage with an exciting reimagining of one of Shakespeare's most thrilling adventures, Cymbeline. One of Shakespeare's final works, Cymbeline presents a bold, spirited take on his familiar themes of forbidden romance, betrayal, and the mayhem of war, blending tragedy, combat, fantasy, and broad comedy into a plot filled with twists and turns - all centering on the courageous princess Imogen. The Globe's production will include expressive choreography, riveting music, explosive battle scenes, and a narrator to guide audiences through an exciting, vibrant tale filled with elements of fairy tale romance and epic adventure. AND (!!!) Cymbeline will be designed for two rotating, repertory experiences! One night we'll perform OUTDOORS on the grounds of the new OC Amphitheater + the next evening we'll move INSIDE The Globe Theatre's historic stage. *** Please note that seating for outdoor performances is not typical. Join us at the Ellen Noël Art Museum for a delightful event tailored for art-loving preschoolers aged 3-5 and their grown-ups. At 1:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourselves in a beautifully illustrated story and a fun art activity. This free event offers an engaging children's story followed by a hands-on art project related to the tale. Our featured book for this session is The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires. Young attendees will be entertained by the charming story of a a young girl who sets out to create the most magnificent thing she can think of. After the story, children will participate in an art activity inspired by the adventures. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and creativity in young children while spending quality time together. We look forward to welcoming you and your little artists to the museum for this fun and inspiring event!
