Spots are open for our Jack & the Beanstalk Summer Theatre Camp! This Summer, we will be taking 50 students on a journey to tell the classic fairy tale Jack & the Beanstalk. Dates for Jack & the Beanstalk Summer Theatre Camp are Monday, June 19th - Saturday, July 1st (performances on Friday, June 30th & Saturday, July 1st in the evenings). Camp begins at 8am and ends at 5pm. Students may be dropped off each day at the Permian Playhouse at 7:45am each day, and must be picked up before 5:30pm at the end of each day. Students who have completed Kindergarten - completed 5th grade are eligible for Jack & the Beanstalk Summer Theatre Campthis year. Cost is $400/student. Siblings receive discounted tuition of $300/each additional sibling. A $100 deposit/student is required to reserve a space. Full tuition payments are due on/before June 1st. 4 events,The Midland Historical Society is planning to recreate the Fourth of July in Midland in 1900 at their historic Brown-Dorsey home. The house was newly-finished the year before and that Wednesday the Fourth in 1900 was the first the family celebrated in their elegant folk Victorian home.Events planned include a special Fourth-themed tour of the home, cranking home ice cream, lemonade, horseshoe and washer pitching, and more. Come step back in time to the Fourth at the dawn of the last century!

FOURTH OF JULY TOURS Tuesday, July 4 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Brown-Dorsey Home Enjoy a special Fourth of July experience - right out of 1900! Refreshments of lemonade, ice cream, and small Hershey candies will be on hand, as well as horseshoe and washer games for all to play. Tour the oldest home in Midland and see some period clothing. Tours are free (but we welcome donations to help support the upkeep of the home) and open to all. The Brown-Dorsey Home is located at 213 N. Weatherford. 4th of July Farmers Market & Concert on the Lawn Farmers Market will be held under the Grelton Pavilion from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. First held as an outdoor tent show, the Ruidoso Art Festival has evolved into an annual event which attracts thousands of art enthusiasts. Now an indoor event held at the Ruidoso Convention Center, artists arrive from around the United States to display a dazzling array of fine art. The Ruidoso Art Festival also features a Silent Auction to benefit the Chamber's Special Project Fund which funds philanthropic endeavors in local communities. In addition to fine art, this year we have added wine tasting and craft beer to the festival. For an additional wine tasting fee, enjoy tastings at some of our New Mexico Wineries and craft breweries.
