Gallery Hours: Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturdays thru Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Artistic expression is inherently shaped by cultural influences and personal experiences within a given society. Haiti is no exception to this rule. In response to this cultural dynamic, the nonprofit organization, New Vision Art School, located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti was established to address a community need. It serves as a safe haven for children, offering them the opportunity to enjoy workshops, channel their creativity, embark on educational journeys to museums and other art-related institutions, and fosters a supportive community where parents can connect and receive assistance. This pop-up exhibition showcases the artistic creations by children who have benefitted from the nonprofit organization, New Vision Art School, located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The artwork by these children reflects their cultural beliefs, traditions, and customs. Please join us for a reception one week after opening, on February 8th, 2024, at 6PM! on loan from the Hatcher-Levinger Family collection.
